The last night of five

Daddy took Luke to the ballpark and bought him a hat. Hard to accept I just hugged my five-year-old goodnight for the last time. (And at nearly 11 pm!)

What we've been up to lately

Last day of school.

Last publishing parties (H's class filmed theirs).

Last tball game, and a visit from grandma.

(She gave us the 1975 Ranger Rick with her article on how seeds travel. I was so proud when she presented about that to my kindergarten class!)

That was also the weekend of my guitar "recital" and great seats at a Paul Simon concert.

Slightly early 6th birthday celebration at school.

Play date in nature.

Finishing that last homework assignment.

That weekend daddy whipped the backyard into shape and the kids played outside all day long. (I think that was also my last class of spring semester.)

Bringing home a year's worth of K and 3 art and school work.

Last days in Room 1.

Visiting Jess and Dylan in Boston, at last.

Meanwhile, lots of reading. 

Dog sitting.

More dog sitting. And new headphones and new books on tape (The Trumpet of the Swan. Loved.)
