Remembering Christmas

It's a bit shocking that Christmas is already so long gone. Better get to documenting it. The week before Christmas, we visited family in Truckee, Reno and Grass Valley. Then home for Christmas eve and lots of togetherness in the week that followed. Here are some of photos from the holiday break.

Really into super people and capes lately.

I tried my ergo; it still works!

Halina as a spider in her class performance, the day before break.

One early present each.

From Sissa.

It's a Morgan thing.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of Chris juggling while bongo-ing, blowing all us Morgans out of the water.

Back at the cabin.

Luke is a little nervous around dogs, so this moment where he approached Buddy on his own is especially sweet.

Next, off to Grass Valley to visit Auntie Sue and Grandma Mary. Chris, Luke and I were thoroughly sick with head colds.

Cookie decorating.

Not feeling so hot.

Home again. The next morning was Christmas. And Santa had been here!

Just what he'd asked for.

Wanted that, too!

Their surprise gift to us. All secretly crafted and kid-wrapped. xo

Halina was the VIP at school over the break and got to take home the class stuffy.

Another lovely, secret, kid-made gift from preschool.

The gift that made me cry. A box of photos from over the last decade.

Lots of ukelele.

And workshop stuff.

And a super fun playdate.

And learning Christmas carols after Christmas.

Lots and lots and LOTS of being together.

New years day hike at Sibley to the quarry labyrinth.

Halina's new bike and an outing to the harbor.
