Another trip to Thatcher Woods with friends, another warm, clear day. Waking the dog alone at dusk in town — it was empty, in a beautiful way. Lake Street is torn up for new pipes and sidewalks, so there were no cars either. The air was purple and balmy. The library lit up like business as usual. A couple people walking here and there, someone talking to himself, his voice carrying in the emptiness. A woman sitting on a bench at Scoville Park. Someone in the ice cream shop. No one else, really.

  1. i'm glad you have a beautiful place to walk outside! i have been looking for places that are less crowded than the river parks get on the weekends.
